ChessOpening is a chess opening learning service operated by Servet Akdemir, an individual based in Türkiye. Contact: support@chessopening.app.
Cancel your subscription
- Sign in to the ChessOpening account used for the purchase.
- Open Account → Manage subscription to reach the Polar customer portal.
- Select the subscription and complete cancellation. Check the end date and confirmation shown by the portal.
- If you cannot reach the portal, contact support@chessopening.app or support@polar.sh.
Seven-day free trial
If eligible, checkout shows a seven-day free trial and the price afterward. Cancel before the trial ends to avoid that charge. Access normally continues for the rest of the trial after renewal is canceled. An uncharged free trial has no payment to refund.
Paid periods
Weekly, monthly and yearly subscriptions renew automatically until canceled. Cancellation normally takes effect at the end of the current period, with access continuing until then. Clearing browser data, signing out or removing the app from a device does not cancel a subscription.
Refund requests and payment errors
For duplicate/incorrect charges, unauthorized payments, non-delivery or other refund requests, email support@chessopening.app with your purchase email, payment date and Polar receipt/order identifier if available. Do not send full card numbers, CVC, passwords or identity documents. Billing and refunds are handled with Polar as Merchant of Record.
Cancellation does not automatically refund a previous payment. Requests are assessed based on the circumstances, applicable consumer law, delivery of the service and Polar’s payment rules. We do not impose a blanket “no refunds” rule that removes statutory refund, withdrawal or faulty-service rights. Approved refunds normally go to the original payment method; processing time depends on the bank.
Statutory consumer rights
Mandatory withdrawal, cancellation, faulty-service and payment dispute rights where you live remain protected. Any exception for immediate delivery of digital services applies only when legally required disclosures and explicit agreement are satisfied; visiting the site alone does not waive those rights. Transactions are also subject to the Polar Buyer Terms.
